Earth tones

Natural color schemes are big this season--like earth tones in outdoorsy-type clothing and boyscout style. This is one way to wear this trend.

Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress

You can't go wrong with a Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress. Ever. It is the kind of dress that looks good on any body type since it's a wrap (wear it as loose or tight as you'd like) and the tie is located above the natural waist so if you've got hips like mine, they're kind of hidden. Also, the v-neck flatters all chest sizes, in my opinion! I'd wear this to work, out with friends, to a wedding or on a date. Can we say versatile?
Here's one place to shop for more DVF.

Dolce and Gabbana shoes

I love the fact that these are so feminine and sexy with the little gold bow and python print but also wearable with its low heel. I'd wear these to work (seriously, couldn't you see these spicing up a pantsuit?) or out with a dress or flirty skirt!

Burberry trench

This classic style trench from Burberry with a mod twist, big this season, is a fave of mine. Having just bought a Burberry trench at an outlet store for a serious discount, I must tell others the importance of my find! I can wear this trench, in white, with anything and everything. Plus, with the weather we've been having in LA, it's a practical buy as well. Lovely and deliciously fitting for any body shape. I love that it's belted at the waist since we all know how huge belting at the waist is this season.
Find it here.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Silk Floral-Print Dress

For some reason, I've become obsessed with this dress. I saw it on a girl in her 20's walking on Montana, wearing it with black flip flops, and fell in love... with the dress, of course! I wouldn't have chosen to necessarily wear it with flip flops as it's a silk, sweet-looking dress, but oddly enough, it worked! Maybe it's because we're in California where laid back looks always 'go,' but I liked it. Anyway, so I rushed out to Saks soon after and tried on the dress. It is so pretty and comfortable--I felt as if I were in a flowy nightgown, but obviously it's much more acceptable to wear in public than a nightie. The one downfall? You'll most likely have to 'fashion tape' the top to yourself since the deep V doesn't leave room for wearing a bra and you can fall out of it too easily because of it. Still, the dress is on my top 10 list for this spring...

Kristen Bell - boho chic

Here is Kristen Bell at the opening night of Hairspray. She looks adorable in what looks like Frye boots and a sweet top. A little boho chic and very laidback stylish.

Thandie Newton - colorful dress

Gorgeous Thandie Newton at the Brit Awards in a colorful, flattering Stella McCartney dress. This reminds me very much of the designer Custo's line. Hot!

Andrea Bowen - sundress

Here is lovely Andrea Bowen from Desperate Housewives in a Marc by Marc Jacobs dress. This is a great way to embrace the colorful, youthful dress trend for spring.

You can find the dress here.

Carmen Electra - formal shorts

Carmen Electra carries on the trend started by stars wearing Johnson shorts. Now, all sorts of designers are bringing back the shorts look in their spring lines as seen on runways from ChloƩ to Vivienne Westwood to Louis Vuitton to Prada. Celebs usually dress up shorts with heels and flowy tops. 'Formal shorts'... What an idea!

You can buy Johnson shorts here.

Sienna Miller - layered necklaces

Love or hate her style, Sienna Miller does set fashion trends. Long layered necklaces are big right now, so why not pick up on the trend--Sienna inspired or not!

Lindsay Lohan - hot boots

Those boots are hot. She may be attempting to hide her face from the paparazzi, but she's letting those boots share the limelight. Here's a pair of similar Loeffler Randall boots to be worn outside skinny jeans, like Lohan displays, or with a skirt or dress.
